Xeropotamos Trip Overview
Enjoy an incredible e-bike tour with wine tasting in the countryside of Heraklion, Crete. Starting and ending at a beach east of Heraklion and heading towards the hills and mountains of Crete, this tour allows its participants to discover the Cretan inland by e-bike without sweating or getting tired. The small picturesque villages, old historical orthodox churches and chapels, and unique centenary trees reward all visitors with their beauty and history. At the end of the tour a 5 cretan wines tasting with some greek meze will take place and after that we will be transported by taxi back to our starting point.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Gournes, Gournes, Crete
We start west of Heraklion from the beach of Ammoudara and head south towards the hinterland of Crete. After leaving the urban area behind us we enter a rural area full of vineyards and olive groves. On one side of the route we can see the holy mountain of Yioukta and on the other the highest mountain of Crete, Psiloritis. The first village we meet is Gournes, a small village built on a hill.

Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Xirolia 700 13, Greece
After Athanatoi the road becomes uphill until we reach the almost uninhabited village of Xirolia. Here we change our direction and we ride west.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Dafnes, Dafnes, Crete
We then head west and after a few kilometers we reach the capital of wine in Crete, the village of Dafnes. Here the well-known wine festival takes place every year in July.
In this area there are many wineries that produce the best wines of Crete.

Stop At: Siva, Siva, Crete
In this village we taste 5 different wines, accompanied by Cretan cheese, rusks and olives.

After the wine tasting we leave the e-bikes there and we go back to our starting point by taxi.
