What to Expect When Visiting Vatos, Greece, Greece
Learn the art of Cretan cooking and experience our traditional way of life, in our house at a village based in the heart of Crete.
Visit a traditional home in Vatos Village, where your local Cretan host will share all the knowledge of her family and traditional Cretan home.
Taste freshly baked bread from a traditional oven. Chat with your host while you taste and enjoy some traditional Cretan meze snacks, wine, and Cretan raki.
Afterwards, head to the kitchen, where you will learn how to make traditional Cretan dishes from your host. All guests will be given aprons, and most cooking ingredients will be readily available in the kitchen area.
Your host will guide you through the whole procedure, allowing everyone to master their cooking skills. While you’re waiting for your lunch to cook, you can relax and have a chat with those around you.
