You are going to cook local and traditional Greek recipes with the valuable help of chef Irini, the chef of Vigla Hotel.

As part of this class, you will learn to cook 2 Greek dishes and 1 dessert with most of the ingredients coming from our orchards such as aubergines, potatoes, tomatoes, courgettes, olives, and, of course, oil from our olive groves.

You will get hands-on training from our experienced local chef that will show you cooking techniques that can easily be repeated at home. You will learn to cook “gemista”, one of the most popular Greek dishes of most Greeks, “patatato”, the most favorite and delicious Amorgian dish, and many, many more.

At the end of the cooking class, not only are you going to taste what you have cooked on a terrace with a panoramic view, but you are also going to take with you a souvenir – a surprise gift we have prepared just for you.

• Stuffed tomatoes and peppers (gemista) – a traditional Greek dish with tomatoes and peppers stuffed with rice and many herbs.
• goatmeat and potatoes (patatato) – Cooked in casserole with tomato sauce and many spices. It is the traditional Amorgian dish which is served in many festives of the island.
• Greek custard pie (Galaktoboureko) – traditional Greek dessert with creamy custard made from semolina, wrapped in sheets of phyllo and soaked in syrup.
• Greek kataifi rolls – greek dessert with chopped walnuts, ground clove and cinnamon, wrapped into buttered cripsy kataifi dough and bathed in syrup
