The street of the Knights (Odós Ippotón) is one of the highlights of the Medieval Town of Rhodos. It is a fascinating and obligatory visit for all guided tours, one of the most admired attractions in the Old Town.

Mandraki is the main harbour of Rhodes where once mentioned in the old ages stood the Colossus of Rhodes.By the city walls facing seawards, there is the castle of Saint Nicholaos which received its title from the patron saint of the seaman. This castle operates as a lighthouse.

The Aquarium has been fashioned in the form of an underwater sea cave. Sinuous corridors, artfully decorated with natural sea-shells create a true underwater ambience.

The Acropolis of Rhodes is one of the most interesting and enjoyable archeological sites one can visit. At the end of one the most scenic Medieval streets in the world, the Street of the Knights, lies the magnificent Grand Master’s Palace of the Knights of St. John. It was built during the 14th century under the rule of Grand Master H. de Villeneuve (1319 – 1346) on the site of a 7th century Byzantine fortress. This imposing building was used as the residence of the Grand Master but functioned also as the main administrative seat of the Order and the social cultural center of the island.
