Stop At: Filerimos Monastery, Filerimos 851 01 Greece

It rises on 267 m hill above the Aegean Sea. It is only 14 km away from the Rhodes Town. Built on the site where once used to be Acropolis of Ialyssos, the Monastery still attracts not only the locals but also the foreigners by the serene atmosphere and gorgeous beauty of surrounding nature. Peaceful beauty of the old abandoned monastery, serene atmosphere of Orthodox church, opulent green nature with graceful peacocks and of course different shades of blue waters of the Aegean Sea will make your visit unforgettable

Stop At: Valley of the Butterflies, Rhodes, Petaloudes Greece

Rhodes is very proud to have the unique nature reserve known as “Butterfly Valley” or in Greek “Petaloudes Valley”. When you come here be ready for a miracle! Located on the western part of the island only 25 km from the town of Rhodes, Valley attracts thousands of Jersey Tiger Moths. They come from May to September drawn by the scent of the Oriental Sweetgum trees. When butterflies come they cover the entire valley which produces magical affect. While asleep they are well-camouflaged in black and yellow but when butterflies fly their wings flash with cherry-red.

To fall in love with Rhodes once and forever you must visit this absolutely charming place – the Seven Springs or in Greek Epta Piges. It is only 27 km from the Town of Rhodes but somehow you feel there far from loud civilization. Surrounded by tall pine trees the Seven Springs with their cool, transparent water attract not only people tired from the hot weather and unpredictable stock exchange market but also local ducks and peacocks.
From magical Seven Springs stroll dawn to the beautiful man-made lake. An artist who was long asleep inside you will be inevitably waken up by the picturesque landscapes around. If you feel ready for the adventure instead of taking walking path to the lake you can go through a tunnel. 186 m long tunnel brings water from the Seven Springs to the lake. It was built in 1931 by the Italians.

Tsambika Beach with its beautiful golden send is one of be most popular local beaches . Since the distance from the town of Rhodes is only 26 km, it takes usually an hour to get there. The beach got its name from the small but very venerated Monastery of Tsambika situated on the 240m high rock above. It is believed that the Monastery has the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary.

In early XXth century thermal springs were studied by the number of scientists who came to the unequivocal conclusion about their numerous benefits. In 1928 the prominent Italian architect Pietro Lombardi was commissioned to build The Thermal Spa Institution. The architect realized the project in absolutely magnificent way. The Spa around the Springs was designed in Moorish style and decorated with pebble stone mosaics, fountains, terraces and rotundas. The architecture is perfectly incorporated into the natural landscape. The pavilions are surrounded by beautiful garden which gives delicious shade and peace to tired travelers.

The medieval town of Rhodes belongs to the World Heritage and is under protection of UNESCO. It is considered one of the few best preserved medieval cities in Europe.
In the 14th century Knights of the Order of St. John conquered the island and started the construction of the fortress. Its walls are still very impressive and draw the attention of every visitor. The Old Town of Rhodes consists of three parts: The central district around the palace of the Grand Mater, the most famous part – Kollakio – the Street of the Knights and the area beyond the walls where lived simple civilians. What makes the Old City unique is its harmonious combination of different civilizations and epochs.
