The Monastery is situated on the 240m high rock above it. It is believed that the Monastery has the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary. Panagia Tsambika (Virgin Mary Tsambika) is now visited by thousands and thousands of couples from all around the world each year (both Greek and non-Greek) who have struggled to conceive or who wish to have their baby or child blessed for one reason or another. Childless women have walked barefoot up to her monastery, which is located high on top of a hill and pray to the Virgin Mary to help them conceive.

Beautiful sceneries on the way will prepare you for meeting magnificent and in many ways unique – the ancient city of Lindos, really an ancient city, it has been inhabited for 5000 years. During the tour you will be able to find the traces of the passed centuries everywhere. After walking along the Acropolis, you discover the Medieval castle and old Byzantine Church of the Ascension. Going down the Street of Knights built by the Crusaders you will reach the 14th century Hospital recently turned into Archeological Museum. While on top of the Acropolis don’t forget to admire the heart shaped Bay of St. Paul – one of the Rhodes symbols. During the tour you will be given some free time – essential for the one who comes not only for taking nice pictures but also for capturing the sense of Rhodes.
