We continue east to visit one of the oldest caves of Crete where in accordance to the legends, God Zeus was born. Next stop will be at a pottery workshop, where you will be able to try your skills in this old profession. Lunch will be in a traditional tavern on Lassithi high plain and on our way back there will be one last stop in – “Holy Monastery of Kera Kardiotissa”– Rest assure that you will be back in time for dinner at your hotels.

According to Greek mythology, Zeus was born on Crete. Two caves high in the Cretan mountains contest the honour of being known as the birthplace of the greatest god of ancient Greece: the Dikteon Cave in south-central Crete and the Ideon Cave on the highest mountain in Crete, Mount Ida or Psiloritis.

Stop At: Lasithi Prefecture, Lasithi Prefecture, Crete

Next stop will be at a pottery workshop, where you will be able to try your skills in this old profession. lunch will be in a traditional tavern on lassithi high plain. on our way back there will be one last stop – “Holy Monastery of Kera Kardiotissa”– then we will take you to your hotels before dinner time.
