Itinerary
Day 1: Central Zagori villages
Stop At: Stone Forest, Monodendri 44007 Greece
A visit the stone forest from the place “Oxia”, from where the view of the Vikos gorge is excellent
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Kipoi, Kipoi, Zagorohoria, Ioannina Region, Epirus
The village “Kipoi” was the old capital of the area of “Zagori” and one of the oldest settlements of the area, known since 1431.

Stop At: Kokkori Bridge, Koukouli Greece
The bridge of “Noutsos” or “Kokoris” is located near the village of Koukouli, on the river of Voidomatis. Built in the 16th century.

Stop At: Kapesovo, Kapesovo, Zagorohoria, Ioannina Region, Epirus
The village “Kapesovo” is wonderful and traditional, with few residents, but many beauties. Next to the village “Vradeto”, there is “Vradeto steps”, one of the most beautiful stone made steps of the area.

Monodendri village located on the southwestern slopes of the peak “Storos” of Pindos, near the entrance of Vikos gorge,

Stop At: Vitsa, Vitsa, Zagorohoria, Ioannina Region, Epirus
One of the largest villages of “Zagori”, with its stone houses and many churches (Profitis Ilias – 17th century, Holy Monastery of Panagia, Agios Nikolaos and Taxiarches Churches of the 17th century).

Day 2: East Zagori Villages
Stop At: Vovousa, Vovousa, Ioannina Region, Epirus
The village “Vovousa” is built on the two banks of the River Aoos, has in its center one of the most beautiful mono-arced stone bridges of Zagori that was built in 1748

Stop At: Greveniti 440 14, Greece
Greveniti village, built at an altitude of 980m, with excellent views to the villages of the central “Zagori” and the oldest monastery of the area, “Panagia” “Pogoniotissa”

Stop At: Aoos Springs Lake, Metsovo 44200 Greece
The artificial lake of Aoos fountain is at an altitude of 1,350m, covers an area of 12km2 and was constructed in 1986 for the purpose of producing energy. It is located between two national parks, Valia Calda and the Vikos-Aoos Geopark.

Day 3: West Zagori villages
Stop At: Vikos, Vikos, Ioannina Region, Epirus
“Vikos” village is one of the most famous villages, is located at 770 meters altitude, at the top of a rock, located between the three sides of the river “Voidomatis”

Stop At: Aristi, Aristi, Zagorohoria, Ioannina Region, Epirus
Aristi village, is the main village you will find exploring West Zagori
You will be impressed by the excelent church of the Assumption, the stone made streets, the old fountain and the traditional cafes in the main square of the village.

Stop At: Papigko, Papigko, Zagorohoria, Ioannina Region, Epirus
The village of Papigo (980m altitude) is one of the most beautiful villages of Zagori, known as the settlement from the 14th century.
