Chania Trip Overview
An off-the-beaten-track cultural tour that uses food and wine as a means of getting to know and having an experience of the local traditions, the authentic people, the history, and the modern lifestyle of Crete.
You will be guided around in Chania city and learn about the Cretan food culture over tasting Alatsoelies (salted olives) with various sheep cheeses, the famous Cretan yogurt with or without thyme honey, traditional sweets and pastries with Malotira beverage (the local mountain herb), and a tweaked vegetarian Souvlaki with various mushrooms and Halloumi cheese.
You have also the option to book for a wine tasting tour sampling some of the best wine labels of Greece and learning a lot about wine. This extra tour cannot be booked unfortunately on-site nor can it be booked as a standalone service but needs to be booked in advance as an extra to your basic food tour.

Here you will taste the famous sweet pie called Bougatsa and see how it is made.

Stop At: Old Chania Market, Chania 731 32, Greece
Our guide will meet you at the front main entrance of the Market’s building and show you around pinpointing the best shops to buy authentic local products at fair prices. Here you will try olives with cheeses, and yogurt with honey.

At the end of your food tasting tour, you will have the option of a 30min wine tasting experience (not in standard price included, must be added to the food tour booking as an extra service).
