The first stop is at the Acropolis, to see the architectural monuments of the Golden Age of Athens, including the Parthenon, Erectheion the temple of Athena Nike and the magnificent views of the city all the way to Aegean sea.
The Acropolis is located on a flattish-topped rock that rises 150 m (490 ft) above sea level in the city of Athens, with a surface area of about 3 hectares.
Most of the major temples, including the Parthenon, were built by order of Pericles during the so-called “Golden Age of Athens”(460–430 BC).
