With the imposing neighborhood of Plaka as your starting point, you will meet with your expert local guide. After getting to know each other and sharing essential information about the culinary culture of Greece, you will be ready to delve into the cultural and culinary adventure that lies ahead
Explore the scenic neighborhood of Plaka, one of the oldest and most unforgettable Athenian neighborhoods on foot, along with your expert guide that will share their knowledge in regard to the history, customs and everyday life of Athenians. Strolling the northern side of the Acropolis Hill, you will come upon Plaka’s most significant monuments, such as the Tower of the Winds, the majestic Gate of Athena at the Roman Forum, and the monument of Lysicrates. Learn about the rich heritage behind each monument through fascinating tales narrated by your guide and continue your walk by following the maze-like streets to discover the hidden neighborhood of Anafiotika, a tiny island-esque district located on the slopes of Acropolis!
