Badovas is the name of the nearby restored but abandoned Monastery dedicated to Saint Nicolas of Badovas.
The caves where Hermit monks use to live an extraordinary life back in 14th century are situated between Kalbaka town and Kastraki Village. The area is surrounded by immerse rock pillars called Pyxari and Amparia and few other smaller rocks.
