Stop At: Marathon Tomb, Marathon 190 07 Greece
Starting from athens we will drive along several small towns until we arrive at marathon Tomb also known as the Tomb of the Athenians and is the final resting place of 192 soldiers who died in the Battle of Marathon, a bloody battle that took place in 490 BC during the first Persian invasion of Greece.Those who fell were cremated and buried in this tomb as a reminder of their sacrifice and bravery.

Stop At: Archaeological Museum of Marathon, Vranas, Marathon 190 07 Greece
We continue our tour at the archeological museum of Marathon. The museum mainly houses findings originating from the Battle of Marathon and from the egyptian temple built nearby.

Pass By: Marathon Lake, Marathon Greece
We will visit the marathon Dam at marathon lake , wich is the only marble dam in the world.
Stop At: Historical Information Center Thermopylon, Lamia 35009 Greece
Next, we will be back on board for a drive to Thermopylae. It was here that 10 years after the Battle of Marathon, King Leonidas and his 300 brave Spartans heroically faced the Persian army.
In the historical center you will have the chance to see a short 3D presentation of the battle of thermopylae.

Stop At: Leonidas Monument, Lamia, Thermopylae 350 09 Greece
As if traveling through time you will feel the presence of heroes who stood their ground for their freedom against a foreign conqueror. To conclude you will visit the statue of Leonidas standing exactly opposite Kolonos Hill where the persistent Spartans left their last breath.

Stop At: Battlefield of Thermopylae, Thermopylae Greece
Thermopylae is world-famous for the battle that took place there between the Greek forces (notably the Spartans) and the invading Persian forces, commemorated by Simonides in the famous epitaph, “Go tell the Spartans, stranger passing by, That here obedient to their laws we lie. This passage from north to south along the east coast of Greek peninsula requires use of the pass and for this reason Thermopylae has been the site of several battles.

Heading back to Athens we will stop at the coastal town of Kammena Vourla, where we will enjoy a relaxing, traditional Greek lunch by the sea.
