DELPHI & METEORA: On Day-1 you will find yourself standing at the ancient port of Delphi about to begin hiking along the Plestos river valley following the route of ancient pilgrims over 3000 years before, whilst on Day-2 you will be guided through the towering pinnacles of Meteora’s ‘rock forest’ along hidden paths trodden by the original monks 15 centuries before.
THE PELION PENINSULA: Mythical ‘Moutain of the centaurs’ and designated ‘Natura 2000’ area of outstanding natural beauty with clean mountain air, ancient forest, pristine blue waters, & dotted with over 23 picture post-card ‘stone villages’ (location for the movie ‘mama mia’). We continue here with a great Bike-Hike & Sailing combination.

Itinerary
Day 1: Delphi
Stop At: Mount Parnassus, Delphi Greece
Airport pickup & transfer to Delphi on the slopes of Mt. Parnassus & learn about the history of the center of the ancient world & its oracle along the way before meeting our local hiking guide at the ancient port of Delphi for a 4 hour trail following the Plestos river valley

Day 2: Meteora
Stop At: Meteora, Meteora, Trikala Region, Thessaly
We explore the Archeological site followed by a visit to Arachova village for lunch & transfer to Meteora & check in to your boutique hotel under the shadow of the rocks.

Day 3: Pelion
Stop At: Pelion, Pelion, Magnesia Region, Thessaly
We meet our experienced local guide, joining a small group at 8:30 for a hike of 4-5 hours ascending along hidden trails to visit the hidden monastery of Ypapanti along the way until we reach the remaining inhabited monasteries above, visiting at least two (normally the Great Meteoron & Varlaam) before meeting your driver to pass by road/visit several of the other monastaries before lunch in Kalambaka & transfer to Pelion where we end our afternoon in the famous village (‘balcony of Pelion’) of Makrinirtsa enjoying the sunset over dinner in the main square perched above the sea & panoramic views & where our local Biking guide will join us to discuss the following days.

Day 4: Pelion
Stop At: Pelion, Pelion, Magnesia Region, Thessaly
Our biking experience starts with 4 to 5 hours of the most beautiful of Pelion’s ‘paths of the centaurs’ & passes through five of its famous ‘stone villages’ Drakeia, Agios Lavrentios, Agios Georgios Pinakates, ending on the village of Milies (400m) deep in its ancient forest. check-in at Dryalos hotel. Milies is a beautiful village and we will visit the museum, the old train station, the old library and more. In the evening in the square, we will enjoy our dinner with Greek songs and why not some greek dance maybe !

Day 5: Pelion
Stop At: Pelion, Pelion, Magnesia Region, Thessaly
We continue our route with amazing scenery throughout passing along the way the villages of Neohori, Argalasti and Siki visit a local winery, and many attractions and end at the village Lafkos (320m). a traditional village that has not touched by the time and all are rolling calm and pure like many years ago. The “Lagou Raxi” hotel is a fantastic place and the pool will help us to relax. At the magnificent square will enjoy our dinner and if we wish will visit the seaside village Milina for a little nightlife!

Day 6: Sporades islands
Stop At: Trikeri, Trikeri, Magnesia Region, Thessaly
Our scenic route overlooks the sea of about 4 hours to reach the Alogoporos where we receive our luggage & leave our bikes, catching our ferry to Trikeri island a place without roads, cars, noise & pollution. We explore some of the many quiet beaches & old trails & visit the island monastery & one of the island’s most beautiful sites. The hotel will stay is close to the sea and next to traditional taverns offering fresh fish and seafood. In the evening the party will end up late by eating, drinking, dancing and singing!

Day 7: Cruise Pagasitikos
Stop At: Pagasitikou, Volos 382 21, Greece
A slow pace morning swimming at the beaches before a 5 hour sailing boat cruise on Pagasitikos Gulf where we enjoy crystal water, swimming snorkeling and in the afternoon arrive in Volos city & visit a traditional tsipouradiko restaurant & perfect place to relax & remember the many experiences of your days together.
