Itinerary
Day 1: METHONI & PYLOS
Stop At: Athens, Athens, Attica
Pickup from your Hotel or other Athens address or port & continue towards the Peloponnese. An optional stop at the impressive Corinth canal as your driver describes its many interesting ill-fated and varied History’s from Ancient times to the present.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Methoni Castle, Methoni, Pylos-Nestor Τ.Κ 240 06 Greece
Our main destination is normally the amazing Methoni Castle, an extensive & well preserved ruin that is Game of Thrones worthy along with stunning sea views from its battlements & promontories.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Pylos-Nestor, Pylos-Nestor, Messenia Region, Peloponnese
Next we visit the Palace of Nestor set in a beautifully excavated building with displays providing a good reconstruction of the original two storey Mycenaean palace constructed over 3000 years ago & mentioned in Homers Iliad. There are also some amazing items from the site in the nearby museum which is a next stop.

One of the hidden gems of Greece & your home for the evening. Almost every part of the town has a view of the bay of Navarino and the small island of Sfaktiria. Settled for thousands of years this city is a great place to explore with its pretty & colourful Venetian-era streets & you will have time to wonder & enjoy many of its local sites & Architecture.

Stop At: Pylos, Pylos, Pylos-Nestor, Messenia Region, Peloponnese
Moutain Villages. Since the opening up of tourism in Messini visits to one of the mountain villages have become popular & we can stop at one of these for lunch in between the other sites, or on-route to Methoni on request.

Day 2: VOIDOKILIA BEACH
Stop At: Neokastro, Pilos 240 01, Greece
Enjoy the morning in Pylos taking more time to explore if you wish before we visit the most complete & impressive Medieval castle set above Pylos with dominating views over the sea and local countryside
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Gialova, Gialova, Messenia Region, Peloponnese
Gialova Lagoon: Leaving Plylos and at around 6km from Pylos we can visit one of the most important wetlands in Europe and a treat for nature & bird lovers with species such as herons, cormorants, kestrels, seagulls, flamingos, ospreys, imperial eagles, wading birds and many others such as the Kingfisher. A short ditance is the well known Voidokilia Beach

Stop At: Voidokilia Beach, Petrochori, Pylos-Nestor Greece
Voidokilia Beach lies a short walk from the lagoon so you can take the opportunity for swimming in one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.

Day 3: ADDITIONAL DAY / FLEXIBLE ITINERARY
Stop At: Olympia, Olympia, Elis Region, West Greece
Flexible Itinrary on Request & as follows: Spend a second night in Plylos or a nearby location such as Dimitsana or Olympia and continue exploring the region focusing on either Ancient Olympia & its Archaeological site, the Mani Peninsula which is great for touring with villages such as Kardamyli, or return via Dimitsana with the Prodromos Monastery & Waterpower Museum & gorge. You can choose what ever option you prefer of ask us for the best suggestion based on your time of visit.
