Itinerary

Day 1: Athens – Delphi

Pass By: Delphi, Delphi, Phocis Region, Central Greece
We will start our day from your hotel/airbnb in Athens and travel to Delphi – “Navel of the World”.

Stop At: Delphi Greece
After a 2hours driving we will arrive at the foot of Mount Parnassos, within, lies the sanctuary of Delphi, which had the most famous oracle of ancient Greece. According to mythology, it is here that the two eagles sent out by Zeus from the ends of the universe to find the navel of the world met. The sanctuary of Delphi, set within a most spectacular landscape, was for many centuries the cultural and religious center and symbol of unity for the Hellenic world.

Stop At: Delphi Archaeological Museum, Ethniki Odos Amfissas – Livadias, Delphi 330 54 Greece
Located next to the ancient site, hosts findings from the site and the region, including marble statues, coins, golden jewelry, and others.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Arachova, Arachova, Boeotia Region, Central Greece
Stop for lunch before our trip to Meteora.
Arachova is the most popular winter tourist destination as it is a very beautiful and traditional settlement that offers many options and activities to its visitor with the most important ones being the largest ski resort in the country.

Stop At: Meteora, Meteora, Trikala Region, Thessaly
After a 3hours driving we will arrive to Meteora where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Meteora – Athens

Stop At: Meteora, Kastraki, Kalambaka 422 00 Greece

The Holy Monastery of Roussanou, was first established in the 14th century. It received the name probably from the first hermit-monk who settled on the rock during that period.

Stop At: Great Meteoron Monastery, Eparhiacos dromos Meteoron, Kalambaka 42200 Greece
The Holy Monastery of Great Meteoron, located at Meteora-Greece, is the biggest and oldest one of all. It was called the monastery which remains “suspended in the air”, because of the cliff formation of a gigantic rock on top of which it was built.

Stop At: Agios Stefanos, Kalambaka Greece
The monastery of Agios Stefanos is by far the most accessible monastery, where instead of steps you simply cross a small bridge to reach the entrance.

Stop At: Battlefield of Thermopylae, Thermopylae Greece
On the way back to Athens we will have a short stop for rest and to take photos of Leonida’s Monument, where he and the 300 Spartans heroically faced the Persian army.
