For this wine tasting experience, you’re invited to a wonderful, intimate wine-bar restaurant, where you will sample whites, rose and reds, all of which are 100% local – not just grown locally, but featuring local grape varieties as well. Of course, there’s more to wine than just the taste; your host, an experienced sommelier, will explain the history of Greek winemaking and the parallel evolution, from a wide range of influences, of Greek gastronomy.
While tasting premium Cretan wines, you’ll be served food pairings as well –delicious mezes from all over Greece- selected to match each wine and bring out the best of their flavors and aromas. During the tasting, you’ll discover more about the great winemaking regions & wineries of Crete, what makes each of them unique and about the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) labels that protect the great traditions of Greek wines and Greek regional cuisine.
Wine, food, a warm welcome, and a lively discussion of the merits of each region – you couldn’t get more Greek!
